God gifts and equips each person “for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12) Ministry in the church is not to be done by the pastor and leaders alone. Every member is to serve and participate with God in building up His body. We ask each person at Hope to be involved in some aspect of service within our church.
Your service might range from setting up the worship space on Sunday morning to hosting a community group to organizing a service project. Below are some current local service opportunities for Hope attenders:
We volunteer at school-wide events such as the Harvest Festival, Eagle Run, and Walk to School Day. We also organize drives to provide classroom snacks and other essential school supplies, helping support teachers and students throughout the year.
We enjoy getting to know the residents of English Meadows through our Befriending Ministry. Through this ministry, each volunteer is paired with a resident to build a meaningful friendship through conversation, companionship, and time spent together. Our goal is simple: to make sure every resident feels known, valued, and never alone.
We also lend a hand to other events such as the annual Christmas Carol night.
Hope participates in CarePortal, a program that supports children in Crozet who are facing crisis situations. We work to keep families together by providing essential resources, care, and community support during times of need.
